Diggin Taters

The big dig is done. This year we planted 7 varieties in 9 rows, each row was 50 feet long with 50 plants each. Total production was about 200 lbs, started from 40 lbs of seed. The biggest producer in individual size and total production for the 2nd year in a row was the Cranberry Reds. This variety has done well in both wet and dry conditions. It has a pink flesh and makes pink mashed potatoes.
